The Hózhó Academy dome sits underneath the storm clouds Thursday evening in Gallup. The school administrators held a grand opening, which included members of the Gallup Chambers of Commerce and Gallup Mayor Marc DePauli.
Last Thursday, the school administrators unveiled its new multi-training facility that cost just over $4.7 million to build with a grand opening as visitors were allowed to tour the facility.
The honored guest for the ribbon cutting ceremony included Gallup Mayor Marc DePauli and members of the Gallup Chamber of Commerce.
“We had several city officials there,” said Cyle Balok, Hózhó Academy’s Director of Operations. “They were there for our official ribbon cutting ceremony, so that was really special to have them there showing their support.”
Despite inclement weather late last week, Balok said the reception was well received with several 100s in attendance. They witness the baseball and softball teams working out, hitting the batting cages. The Hózhó football team also held practice on the artificial turf with some players utilizing the weight room.
