UniSource puts $5,000 toward Navajo, Hopi cosmos mural at Lowell Observatory

A new mural at Flagstaff’s Lowell Observatory depicting Diné and Hopi cosmology got a financial push from UniSource Energy Services, which contributed $5,000 toward the project and helped host the September unveiling.

The Indigenous Cosmos Mural went up at the observatory as part of an ongoing relationship between UniSource and Lowell that has also included a major infrastructure project and sponsorships of public events. The mural was funded through company resources, not customer rates, according to UniSource.
