In his new sci-fi thriller, Travis Hamilton’s influence from Navajo culture is depicted as he touches on the subjects of Navajo culture, PTSD, mystery and science fiction.

Dubbed by Hamilton as a “Native, sci-fi thriller, “Legends of the Sky” tells the story of a veteran, Lyle (played by Edsel Pete), who comes home to the Navajo Nation from the battlefield and discovers that his grandfather’s land has been taken over mysteriously by an unidentified corporation.

Struggling with the early stages of post-traumatic stress disorder, Pete (a veteran in the film and in real life) tries to re-establish himself as a civilian before he soon discovers that his grandfather (H. Begay) suddenly disappears. Fighting to find his grandfather, the veteran will also uncovers a hidden truth in his grandfather’s land.

The cast is includes Pete (Navajo), Mia Sable (Choctaw), Chris Robinson, Ernest Tsosie III (Navajo), James Bilagody (Navajo) and Navajo Code Talker Thomas H. Begay.
