A Tohatchi man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and sexually assaulting his former girlfriend.

A Kayenta man was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison after he pled guilty to assault with a deadly weapon. Kelsey Dale Benally, 27, also received another sentence of five months for parole violations in connection with a prior conviction.

According to Gallup police, a call from a person saying an employee of the school district posted an online message that they were going to be “shooting up Gallup High School.”
