The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee today voted 11-9 to send Deb Haaland’s nomination to become secretary of the Interior to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote.

For four hours last week, U.S. Rep. Debra Haaland, D-N.M., answered questions from members of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. The committee is charged with confirming President Joe Biden’s nomination of Haaland for cabinet secretary of the Department of Interior.
