Zuni boys come up short in third place game

When the Kirtland Central High School boys’ basketball team walks into a gymnasium, most see their six-foot-six post player and are quick to assume that he runs the floor.

No. 2 ranked Window Rock Lady Scouts continue to impress in the latest statewide power rankings by chalking up two impressive wins on the road.

The middle of the season is still around the corner but the Farmington High School boys’ basketball team is already putting check marks next to their list of goals for the season.

Shiprock head coach Larenson Henderson said the Lady Chieftains’ aggressiveness on both sides of the floor was the key to its 53-32 championship victory during the Choice Wireless Classic at the Wildcat Den in Chinle last Saturday night.
