CHURCH ROCK, N.M.
Four years ago, Guytin Tsosie won the Wild Thing Championship Bullriding for the first time.
The Burnham, New Mexico cowboy was seeking his second championship win before a capacity crowd at Red Rock Park on Saturday night. Despite his best efforts, Tsosie came up one-point short of winning the coveted title as Texas cowboy Lane Nobles won the event with a 91-point score on Saturday night.
“I’m just glad I rodeo my bull,” Tsosie said. “That is what I look for every time.”
Tsosie finished the two-day event with a 90-point ride aboard Capitan, a bull owned by 4Bs Bucking Bulls stock contractor Johnyatt Begay. With that, Begay pocketed $5,589.
