IJRA to give away trailer at the end of the 2026 season

The Indian Junior Rodeo Association has seven rodeos left in its 2026 season, starting with the Turquoise Trail Tuffest Jr. Rodeo this weekend.
The two-day rodeo will be held at the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Posse arena in Albuquerque, which starts on Saturday.
“Overall, the season has been great,” IJRA President Benny Yazzie said. “Shoot, we had more rodeos this year than we had last year. Every rodeo is getting better and better. We’re finishing them a lot faster. The kids are learning how to be ready and prepared.”
The nonprofit also has the 6th Annual Debbie Lee Memorial Jr. Rodeo scheduled for Sept. 7 at the Bi-County Fairgrounds in Prewitt, New Mexico, and the Navajo Nation Jr. Rodeo in Window Rock on Sept. 9 on tap.
