The market for bucking bulls right now “is kind of bittersweet.”

In his 40-plus years of rodeoing, Alvin Smith has not experienced anything like this.

Rogers said he battled all year and he credited Texas cowboy Paden Bray for getting him to the 2019 NFR. Bray, who roped with Rogers, did not make the field as he finished No. 17 in the world.

Of the five champions from the Navajo land, heeler Myles John successfully defended his world crown by winning the team roping aggregate with four-time INFR winner Edward Hawley, who captured his third consecutive title.
