FARMINGTON

Twenty new sculptures have been installed in downtown Farmington as part of the city’s 2026-27 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, a public art program now in its fourth year.

The sculptures were installed throughout the downtown corridor this month and will remain on display through May 2027, according to the city. Each piece is available for purchase.

Artists from New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Utah submitted work for the exhibition after applications opened in November 2025.

This year’s exhibition was selected by Farmington artist Rosemary Meza-DesPlas, who served as guest juror. Meza-DesPlas is a multidisciplinary Latina/Coahuiltecan artist based in Farmington.

The exhibit includes work from returning artists Bill Bunting of Springfield, Colorado, Anesah Jo Clark of Kirtland, New Mexico, Tamie Cottrell of La Plata, New Mexico, Justin Diester of Louisville, Colorado, Nathan Johansen of Provo, Utah, Jerry Severns and Reven Swanson of Denver, Christopher Thomson of Ribera, New Mexico and Charlotte Zink of Berthoud, Colorado.
