Diné filmmaker Sabrina Saleha has been selected as a fellow for the 2026 Sundance Institute Native Lab, joining a group of artists developing projects in Santa Fe this week.

Saleha is one of four fellows in the program, which runs April 6-11 at Hotel Santa Fe. Her project, “Grief Camp,” follows a Navajo teenager sent to an all-Native grief camp that becomes a space between the living and the dead.

Saleha is a writer-director and staff writer on AMC’s “Dark Winds.” Her short film “Legend of Fry-Roti: Rise of the Dough” won the Best New Mexico Short Jury Award at the Santa Fe International Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Short at the deadCenter Film Festival.
