A third lockdown due to the coronavirus has been granted for the city of Gallup and will remain in place until Sunday, according to police sources.

The Walmart Supercenter in Gallup will close for one day in an effort to help “curb the impact” of the coronavirus that has caused the lockdown of the city since last Friday.

To ensure people were not denied access to the water station, Gallup Water and Sanitation Director Dennis Romero said the city, along with the National Guard and Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, would be setting up water stations for people to fill their water tanks at no charge.
