Pearlie Morgan

Funeral services for Pearlie Morgan, 59, were held Dec. 19 at the Assembly of God Church in Prewitt, N.M. Interment followed at the Grants cemetery in Grants, N.M.
Pearlie was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Crownpoint, into çshiihi (Salt People Clan). She died Dec. 14, 2014, in Gallup.
Pearlie was employed with Gallup McKinley County Schools as a bus driver for Thoreau public schools for 35 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and making artifacts. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She loved all her grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending time with every day. She will be missed.
Pearlie is survived by her husband, Tom Morgan Jr.; children, Denise Anderson of Grants, Tammy Perry of Blue Water Village, N.M., Tommy (Kendel) Morgan of Prewitt, Timmy Morgan of Prewitt, Warren Morgan of Prewitt, and Timothy Morgan and spouse Nadine Garcia; sisters, Clara (Samuel) Willie of Prewitt, Lorend (Russell) Strayhorn of Durant, Okla., Priscilla Hudson of Pine Hill, N.M., Helena Mescale, and Karen Hudson; and nine grandchildren.
Pearlie is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Edison Edsitty; son, Dennison Loretto; granddaughter, Jaime Perry; brothers, Lynn S. Edsitty and Arnold S. Edsitty; and grandmother, Betty Abeita.
