The Shiprock Chieftain baseball team ended its four-game losing streak on March 22 with a victory over the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers 10-4.

History was made on July 31 for the Enid Majors team from Oklahoma.

The Connie Mack World Series is an event that lasts nearly two weeks and brings in crowds from across the nation and beyond. There are parades, cookouts and entertainment, but the main attraction is the baseball teams that pit the best high school players from across different countries against one another.

The Aztec High School graduate earned multiple superlative awards during the spring and now heads to Siena College in Loudonville, New York, to continue her schooling and playing career.
