Teggy Bear is a bear who travels on a motorcycle throughout the United States. This bear is from Dilkon, Arizona, to be exact.
In 2008, it was a Christmas gift to a little boy named William from his uncle Darrell. Teggy Bear has “2008” embroidered on his right foot to signify his birth year. It is 18 years old in human years and 75 years old in a bear’s life.
Like any stuffed animal that belonged to a 3-year-old, Teggy Bear traveled with William everywhere, from playgrounds to family celebrations and family vacations in Hawaii. Teggy was a traveling bear with his Navajo family. Young William’s parents were both avid motorcycle riders and participated in many biker events in the Southwest.
One day, William’s mother, Shelly Mitchell, was preparing for another motorcycle ride, and William wanted Teggy Bear to ride with her for companionship.
“Mom, I don’t like you riding all by yourself. Teggy can ride with you to keep you company and keep you safe,” William told his mother.
