The New Mexico Activities Association released the state brackets for all classifications for both boys and girls on Sunday.

The top two teams in District 1-4A were tabbed the No. 1 and 2 seed for the upcoming New Mexico Class 4A girls’ state playoffs.

The Crownpoint and Navajo Prep boys’ basketball teams played the District 1-3A championship game down to the script, similar to its previous two meetings.

Kirtland Central got 27 points from senior Aisha Ramone and they needed them.

Following a buzzer-beating overtime loss to Navajo Prep on Feb. 16, the Crownpoint girls’ basketball team had plenty of motivation to turn the tables.
